Maybe you never watched the show.
Maybe you came in late or abandoned it. Maybe you just know it's about time you caught up with this particular slice of sci-fi fare. FRINGE started slow enough as to let viewers settle in and then in season two, the story kicked into gear and it's been a very worthwhile ride ever since. Any prime time network show that starts an episode with a main character doing bong hits, is worth your time. (This isn't Breaking Bad, Walter Bishop gets high for SCIENCE.)
Now you COULD go out and get all the previous seasons on DVD....
...or instead, you could just watch all of these new official videos, recapping the events of the series in CHRONOLOGICAL order, HERE and jump into the new season just about as informed.
(What? Yes, they did do a musical episode.... but that's only because Walter was on LSD. Long story.)
Here's a bit of Course Description before you decide to ENROLL:
OLIVIA DUNHAM, of The FBI's FRINGE DIVISION deals with unusual cases. Weird Science stuff mostly, like X-files without the Aliens/Government Conspiracy angle. The angle here is these cases seem tied together and to a nutburger scientist, WALTER BISHOP, who, along with his shifty yet charismatic son, PETER, enters the FBI fold. Soon enough, weirdness is rampant, secrets come out, and doors to an alternate earth are (re)opened.
