Welcome to the DC TV Report for the week ending Saturday May 22nd, 2021. I'm here to bring you recaps, news and commentary for all live-action television shows based on DC Comics. There were 5 new episodes this week including one premiere and one penultimate episode.

Sunday - 5/16/2021

DC's Legends of Tomorrow - S06E03 "The Ex-Factor" 1) In 2045, Zari entered a singing competition show hosted by her s'more headed ex-boyfriend to both vanquish a warrior alien and boost her flailing business interests. 2) Mick was upset the team wasn't wandering space looking for Sara. 3) An injured Sara had to rely on Gary to protect her. Last Minute Reveal: Sarah limped into a fancy house and a man she couldn't see with her blurry vision called her by name and told her he had been waiting for her!

Batwoman - S02E14 "And Justice for All" 1) A new strain of snakebite caused users to become rabid cannibals. 2) Ryan, Luke and Sophie found themselves in jail because Gotham cops be racist. 3) Alice tip-toed away from Black Mask and tied up Dr. Rhyme, insisting she reverse her brainwashing of Kate. Last Minute Reveal: Luke tried stopping a car thief and got gunned down by Agent Tavaroff!

Monday - 5/17/2021

Black Lightning - Series Penultimate "The Book of Resurrection Chapter One: Crossroads" 1) Jefferson prepared to confront Tobias and told JJ that Freeland needs Lightning. 2) Lauren and Lynn joined forces to locate the Nullifier and assisted Anissa and Grace with quashing Tobias's meta-gene scam. 3) Khalil's drive to turn in Looker was interrupted by Ishmael. Last Minute Reveal: Tobias sent a picture of Jefferson to JJ and told her that her father was dead!

Tuesday - 5/18/2021

The Flash - S07E10 "Family Matters, Part 1" 1) Barry tried training Alexa to control Fuerza and may have pushed her too far. 2) Barry and Iris tracked Psych aka Bashir Malik after he began attacking his snoody college buddies. 3) Kamilla started looking for jobs in Miami causing life to get real for Cisco. 4) Joe became furious when it became clear that Agent Kramer was not giving up her misguided quest to extinguish all metas. Last Minute Reveal: Deon and Nora showed up, stilled Barry and leeched life force away from Alexa, Bashir and Iris!

Superman and Lois - Midseason 1 Premiere "Broken Trust" 1) Jordan's friend Tag evaded Superman and General Lane and went to Sarah for help proving Jordan was the cause of his newfound and unstable powers. 2) Lois found herself working with Marcus aka Captain Luthor to investigate Morgan Edge, who had just given Lana a huge promotion. 3) Jordan begged Jonathan not to tell Clark about his super migraines because he wanted to play football against Metropolis High. Last Minute Reveal: Jordan began having an intense siezure and Clark raced to fly him to the Fortress!


Ed’s Winner for the Week:  Family - Vin Diesel would be proud this week. Each episode had strong themes centered around family. On Legends, Constantine got all in a tizzy after Zari told her Mom their relationship wasn't serious. Batwoman saw Alice fighting to figure out how to reverse brainwash her sister and Jacob discovering that mourning his 2 lost daughters was leaving Mary in the lurch. Jefferson may have made the ultimate sacrifice for his family on Black Lightning. Barry and Iris kept talking about the elemental forces as if they were their kids on The Flash. Finally, Superman and Lois returned this week and Jordan learned how skirting responsibility can hurt his family, literally.
