Welcome to the DC TV Report for the week ending Saturday May 1st, 2021. I'm here to bring you recaps, news and commentary for all live-action television shows based on DC Comics. There were 2 new episodes this week.

Monday - 4/26/2021

Black Lightning - S04E09 "The Book of Ruin: Chapter Four: Lyding" 1) Gambi upgraded Thunder's
armor and briefed everyone on Ishmael's assassin CV. 2) Jefferson grounded JJ for making a public appearance as Lightning but JJ did not take the warning seriously. 3) Painkiller attacked a mob accountant looking for info to clear Jefferson's name. 4) Lynn freaked out after the FBI seized her research and locked her out of the lab. Last Minute Reveal: After Tobias turned on the Nullifier and extiguished every meta's powers, JJ began falling out of the clouds!

Tuesday - 4/27/2021

SupergirlS06E05 "Prom Night!" 1) Brainy and Nia traveled back in time to 2009 Midvale and found themselves joining forces with young Kara, Alex and Kara's boyfriend Kenny. 2) Brainy tried avoiding stress eating by enveloping himself in high school culture. 3) Cat Grant arrived in Midvale, suspicious that there may be a new super-being in town. 4) Intergalactic zookeeper Naxim Tork was looking to add a Kryptonian to his collection and attempted to draw out Kara. Last Minute Reveal: Nia and Brainy walked right into a trap laid for them by Naxim Tork!

Ed’s Winner for the Week:  Pushy sisters - Both JJ (Laura Kariuki) and teenage Kara (Izabela Vidovic) had older sisters Anissa (Nafessa Williams) and Alex (Olivia Nikkanen) hounding them to keep low profiles and avoid flashing their powers around.
